Steve Francis, born and reared in Ashland, began racing cars at fifteen years old. Working along side his father and brother, the Francis family began a racing program that would eventually lead to one of the top dirt late model racing organizations in the country. Steve started racing on a regular basis in and around the Bluegrass State in 1983.

To date, Steve has recorded a combined 40 wins in the Xtreme Dirt Car Series, World of Outlaws Late Model Series, Renegade Dirt Car Series, and the World Dirt Racing League. Francis has more than 200 overall feature wins.
 

Larry Conley
Larry Conley, an Ashland native, Larry Conley has been one of ESPN's most prominent college basketball analyst since joining the network during the 1979-1980 basketball season.

Dean Fearing
Dean Fearing, an Ashland native, is known as “The Father of Southwestern Cuisine” and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After 21 years at The Mansion at Turtle Creek, Dallas, Texas, Fearing opened a restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas in 2007. His culinary skills have earned him praise in magazines and he received “The Best Chef in the Southwest” award from The James Beard Foundation Restaurant Award.
