The Weekend Lineup!

Friday, August 12

The late 80’s are calling and they just want to make sure you bring your AquaNet to the Great White and Slaughter performance at the Paramount tonight! That’s right, you can guarantee the streets downtown will be packed for this classic 80’s rock and roll performance. If you’re feeling spontaneous, click here to purchase tickets to the show. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

If 80’s big hair isn’t your thing, kick off the weekend with the season wrap-up of the Broadway Nights summer concert series. The concert will open with a performance from James Merry and the Parts Supply, followed by the headlining group Eldorado. Hillbilly Hibachi will be serving their delicious hibachi entrees, Happy Guy’s Concessions has you covered with the mouth-watering Italian ice, and drinks will be served up by The Mill. As always, this event is FREE and open to the public! Music starts at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, August 13

If you’re not planning to be at the AKY Makers Market, you’re not starting your Saturday off right. Grab locally grown meat and produce, a fresh flower bouquet, or a new piece of art. If it’s made locally by hand, you can find it here. The AKY Makers Market takes place every 2nd and 4th Saturday through September. Holiday Market dates to be announced.

After the market, head over to The Mill’s brand new location at the old G.C. Murphy Building. The insta-worthy food and interior make it the perfect spot to capture all the brunch vibes you want featured on your social feeds.

Saturday evening is for the kids! Take the whole fam to the Central Park Bandstand for a FREE showing of Despicable Me. Water and light snacks provided. Just bring a chair, blanket, and any extra movie cravings. Movie begins at dusk.

Sunday, August 14

Finally, wrap up the weekend by taking the stage yourself with some good ol’ karaoke at Tomcat Bourbon and Brew House. If you live in the area, get your group together and warm up your voices while you ride over on the Tomcat Party bus. If you live in the area, Tomcat will pick you up for FREE. Just give them a call at 606-939-0401.
